Parameters of excellence: India’s top 10 day schools

To compile the league tables of all day schools ” co-ed, boys, girls and day-cum-boarding ” 11,660 respondents comprising parents, principals, teachers and senior students rated them on 14 parameters or attributes. On the reasoning that there is more to education than academic or scholastic excellence (on which conventional league tables published abroad are based), respondents were asked to rate schools on academic reputation, co-curricular education, sports education, faculty competence, individual attention to students, value for money, leadership/management quality, parental involvement, infrastructure provision, internationalism, teacher welfare and development, life skills education and conflict management, special needs education and community service. The ratings awarded under each of these 14 parameters were aggregated to rank India™s most respected schools.  Tables of day schools (across all day school sub-categories)ranked among the Top 10 under each parameter are set out below.
