IMI has many strengths. Its faculty is on a par with the best in the country. I propose to set up seven centres of excellence, covering a range of themes and issues within IMI, he said, addressing the media in Delhi on April 20.Promoted in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne), IMI was Indias first B-school sponsored by several blue-chip corporates including RPG Enterprises, Williamson Magor, Nestle, ITC, Tata Chemicals, and BOC, among others.
