Ramnarain Ruia College of Arts & Science, Mumbai was established in 1937. It was the first college in Mumbai to be started by the Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, Pune. This college is affiliated to Mumbai University and conducts courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mumbai University conferred the college with the ‘Award for the Best College’ for the year 2006. The college received four stars in the first cycle of accreditation by NAAC in 1999 and was awarded an A grade in the reaccreditation in 2007 by NAAC. The college was also awarded the ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ status by UGC in October 2010. The mission of Ramnarain Ruia College is mainstreaming the practices that facilitate intellectual, emotional, physical and cultural growth of students.
