Reeds World School, Coimbatore (estb.2014) is a 21st century school that offers an individualised and futuristic learning experience to prepare its students for the challenges of an increasingly globalised and interconnected world. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, this co-educational Pre-K-10 institution strives to “impart ultimate excellence in education that will groom students to become responsible global citizen, while retaining their Indian ethos”.

Reeds World School functions under the aegis of Shree Sarasswathi Vidhyaah Mandheer (SSVM) Group of Institutions based in Coimbatore and Mettupalayam, the school is committed to the SSVM vision of making quality education accessible for all and aspires to become a global knowledge hub by collaborating with worldwide learning partners.

Campus

Sited on a purpose built 2.07acre campus, Reeds World School hosts contemporary infrastructure to enable a 21st century learning experience for its students.

Academic facilities include 70 spacious and well-ventilated classrooms of which 25 are ICT enabled, well-equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Language, Robotics and Digital Printing to enable hands-on learning for students, and a well-catalogued library, among others.

To enable the holistic development of students, the school hosts an excellent infrastructure for sports education. Facilities include an athletics track, well-maintained courts for basketball, badminton, handball and throwball, a skating rink, etc. Students are also offered training in several sports disciplines by professional coaches.

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, the school follows experiential learning, research & project based learning and blended learning approaches. Students are offered a personalised learning experience which is further enabled by a teacher-student ratio of 1:25.

The school accords high priority to the professional development of its teaching staff. Before the commencement of the academic year, minimum two capacity building programmes by CBSE are conducted for teachers and domain-specific training by subject matter experts are conducted once a month.

Co-curricular education

Students are encouraged to participate in interest clubs, inter-house, inter-school competitions, theme- assembly, Global Citizenship through online programmes, video conferences, research-based national and international collaborative learning, and reading challenges. They are also sensitised to social and individual responsibilities.

The school offers digital enhancement programmes for students such as First in Math, Trinity Speech & Drama & Communication Skills, Cambridge English Assessment programmes; Smart classrooms, Labs on Linguistics, Computers, Robotics, 3D Printing-Design & Technology, etc. that help equip learners for the unpredictable future. Besides, expeditions are conducted for students within and outside the country (International Summer-School Programmes). ACADEMICS:  

CBSE board exam 2020 

• Yuva Foundation – Reeds in association with Yuva Foundation helps the society with cloth donation, planting and growing trees by creating awareness regularly through various campaigns for the welfare of the human kind.
• Planet Protector Academy – A Canada registered charity based in Vancouver; it offers a unique digital classroom-based programme where students of Reeds become ‘apprentice’ Planet Protectors. They go home on ‘Super Hero Missions’ to change their families’ approach towards our planet protection. It aims to empower everyone in the family and society as responsible planet protectors by becoming Zero Heroes (A Zero Waste project).
• Marathon ISA Run – A full Society Marathon Race was organised by SSVM Institutions in Coimbatore. The purpose was to reiterate that it is the duty of every citizen to help fellow human beings and be more socially responsible at an individual level.
