Noida, July 7. The Ramagya School, Noida (estb.2005) organised its inaugural Ramagya Noida Sports League (RNSL) marathon in India. The RNSL marathon started on July 7 at 5 p.m and ended the next day i.e, July 8 at 7 p.m. The uniqueness of the RNSL marathon is that it is the first sports programme open to everyone — teams, individuals, corporates, children, adults and senior citizens — enabling huge and enthusiastic participation in an array of indoor and outdoor sports, says Utkarsh Gupta, managing director of the Ramagya Group of education institutions. The RNSL marathon carnival was inaugurated by former India test cricketer Madan Lal, a member of the 1983 World Cup winning team, and Alka Tomar, the first woman wrestler to win a bronze medal in the Senior World Championship. The sports carnival was also supervised by an adjudicator from the India Book of Records, which has accepted the RNSL marathon of 27 hours of continuous sports as a record. According to Gupta, RNSL was a huge success because participants could enjoy sports such as swimming, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, shooting, chess, lawn tennis, football and cricket at a venue with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
