Ryan International School at Mayur Vihar in New Delhi is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, offering classes from Montessori III to class XII. Ryan International School, Mayur Vihar started in 1991 with 250 students and 15 teachers.
Today the school boasts a student strength of nearly 3500 and faculty strength of 130. The school offers the students a global experience through participation in trips to NASA, and interaction with international students.
The campus hosts a well stocked library, and modern labs for physics, chemistry, biology, robotics and computers. The campus also houses an art room, a music room, medical infirmary and facilities for basketball, football, cricket and shooting.
At the preprimary level, the playway method of imparting education is followed along with activity based learning. There are no examinations or home work and the grading concept is adopted to nurture students without fear of examinations and homework.
At the secondary and senior level, the multi-directional group workshop method initiates work and creates a combination of participation and interaction to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. Academic abilities are recognized and certificates, medals and prizes are awarded to students of merit.
In classes XI and XII, students are prepared for the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
Extracurriculars
The school also promotes many active clubs that focus on activities such as waste management, filmmaking, reading, debate, astronomy and e-journalism. The students participate in the International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts which is hosted by the Ryan International Group of Schools.
They also participate in many outdoor activities, cultural exchange programs, and interact with well-known personalities from different fields.
Students are trained in basketball, football, cricket and shooting as well as other sports.
