Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Noida is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Noida. Founded in 1985, Sarla Chopra DAV Centenary Public School is managed by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi.

The school aims to promote a well-balanced and holistic education based on Vedic culture.

Campus

The 5.5 acre school campus hosts classrooms equipped with smart boards, a well stocked library, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology, math lab, social science lab and fully equipped computer and multimedia lab with latest IT hardware and software functioning. The campus facilities also include multimedia hall, dance rooms, music rooms, medical infirmary, an activity hall with puzzle, board games, beads, playing dough, toys that develop skills, coordination and sharp memory, the school also has a toy room for tiny tots equipped with stuff toys, push vehicles, pull back toys, tent doll houses, casio, xylophones, nine pins and a host of child friendly toys.

The sports infrastructure includes indoor games hall, gym, yoga centre, table tennis hall, playgrounds for outdoor games like cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, handball, swimming pool and splash pool for kindergarten.

General Information

Admission

The school publishes a notice every year in the month of September or October in leading newspapers of Delhi for admission to LKG/Nursery for the upcoming academic year and applications forms are issued for a week.

The age eligibility for LKG is 3 years plus as on April 1 of the year in which admission is sought. The admission process includes an informal interaction with the parents and the child. Admissions are closed as soon as the seats are filled and the list of selected candidates is displayed on the school notice board.

Admissions to other classes are subject to availability of seats and are offered in the month of February. Admission for UKG to class II involves informal interaction and activity based test to enable the school to see whether the child has achieved the required proficiency level in Languages like English, Hindi and numerical ability in mathematics.

Every candidate registered for admission to class III to IX needs to write an assessment test and also appear for an interaction with the admission committee. The written test for these classes are conducted in English, mathematics and Hindi for classes III to VI and in English, mathematics and science for classes VII to IX. Children are tested on the previous class syllabus.

Registration for admission to class XI commences from the day of declaration of the CBSE class X results. The registration is open only for 3-4 days after the declaration of the result. The school offers science, commerce and humanities streams at senior secondary level.
