Sherwood Public School, Secunderabad, is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Established in 1984 by Yogendra K. Gurwara and Jyoti Gurwara, the school is the founding member of the Sherwood Group of Institutions. Affiliated with CISCE, New Delhi, Sherwood Public School, Secunderabad offers schooling from pre-primary level through class XII. Around 30 teachers from Sherwood Public School Hyderabad have received training from Intel in methodologies to incorporate computers in their day-to-day curriculum and for lesson planning. Students use a oftware called Kyan that consists of graded lessons in all the subjects starting from pre-primary to class XII. Teachers use TeachNext, which comprises chapters according to the ICSE syllabus, with interactive multimedia and assignments. These digital products provide a congenial learning environment for effective learning.

Admission

Parents are encouraged to visit the school, discuss and understand the school system after talking to the principal/counselors and then fill the registration form, after which the child must clear an entrance test/interview for admission to class III and above. For pre-primary to class II, an interview with the parents is conducted. Admission is granted based on the performance of the child in the written test/interview.
