Campus

The university’s sprawling 853 acre campus houses the university library which boasts over 3.1 lakhs printed documents and subscription to over 298 national and international journals. The library is also a member of UGC/INFONET Digital Library consortium of INFLIBNET, under which it has access to over 6000 electronic journals and some electronic databases. The campus hosts well equipped laboratories for various disciplines, department cells, offices of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Coordinator, placement cell, post office, bank, health centre, computer centre, canteen, sports complex, playgrounds and courts, athletic track, hostels and guests houses.

Accommodation

Shivaji University hosts six fully furnished and spacious hostels of which three are boys’ hostels and three are girls’ hostels. The hostels offer facilities such as recreation centre with audio-video T V, DVD player, music system, LCD screen, sports complex, gymnasium, library, purified drinking water facility, hot-water for bathing (Solar-system), power generator and health centre. Additionally, the girls hostels have three separate mess, internet facility, visitors’ room with furniture and a complaint box facilitating written complaints regarding any problems.
