Shri SG Institute of Technology and Science started off as a small institute in 1952. Today it has grown into a leading technological institution in not only the state of Madhya Pradesh but entire central and western regions of the country. Recognizing its academic achievements, AICTE and UGC granted it the status of an autonomous institution in 1989. In 2004, institute was recognized as a Deemed University. The institution offers 10 undergraduate and 17 postgraduate courses with an annual intake of 660 and 375 students respectively including Master’s Degree in Applied Science and Pharmacy. It also runs 5 part time degree courses with intake of 30 students each. The Institute is a nationally recognized center for carrying out research leading to Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Applied Science and Pharmacy.The institute also supports IGNOU, New Delhi for its technical courses. The institute boasts a good track record with respect to placements. On an average, about 40-50 well reputed organizations visit the campus every year for recruitment.
