Simandhar Education has announced a Women’s Day Scholarship Program aimed at empowering women in the finance and accounting sectors. The initiative, open to women across India, provides financial assistance for globally recognized certifications, including CPA, CMA, CIA, and EA.
The scholarship program runs from March 6 to March 31, 2025, and offers a ₹30,000 discount on the CPA (2-year plan) and ₹15,000 off on CMA, EA, and CIA programs. To be eligible, applicants must take an online scholarship test and score a minimum of 70%. The test evaluates accounting knowledge, financial aptitude, problem-solving skills, and logical reasoning.
Despite a significant female workforce in finance and accounting, women remain underrepresented in leadership roles. Financial constraints often prevent professionals from pursuing advanced certifications, limiting career growth.
Poonam Jain, Co-Founder of Simandhar Education, emphasized the importance of the initiative “Having worked in the finance industry, I understand the challenges women face in career advancement. Education and professional certifications play a crucial role in breaking these barriers. This scholarship is a step toward making high-value credentials more accessible and helping women succeed in leadership roles.”
Co-Founder Shruti echoed the sentiment, stating, “Many talented women in finance struggle to advance due to financial and structural obstacles. By reducing the cost of globally recognized certifications, we hope to bridge that gap and empower more women to step into leadership positions.”
This marks the first dedicated women’s scholarship program by Simandhar Education, reinforcing its commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse finance industry. With this initiative, the organization aims to equip more women with the qualifications needed to excel in finance and accounting leadership roles.
