SP Jain School of Global Management has  notched a remarkable 100 per cent employment rate for its Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) 2022 graduates within six months of graduation. Lucrative jobs apart, the fresh graduates have been accepted for higher studies at reputed universities in the US, Canada, UK, France and Australia.

Acclaimed for its multi-city undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as doctoral, executive and short-term online programs, S P Jain School of Global Management has  campuses in the dynamic business hubs of Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney.

The School informed that fresh graduates bagged jobs at starting salaries ranging between AUD 78,000 and AUD 120,000 in Australia. For students who secured placements in India, salaries ranged from Rs 22 lacs to 36 lakhs.
Some  students have received offers from Vietnamese corporates while others have received offers from Fortune 500 companies, ecommerce sector,  technology start-ups and government agencies.

Notable companies that have hired SP Jain graduates include Macquarie Group, Amazon, Wolters Kluwer, EdgeRed Analytics Pty Ltd, Integrity Solutions, NSW Government (Graduate Program), Viettel Big Data Analytics Center, OCB Bank, Savills Vietnam, and ITR Vietnam.

“The rigorous program curriculum and a strong emphasis on skill development equips students with a comprehensive understanding of data analysis and the skills necessary to tackle complex business problems by effectively leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data,” said Abhijit Dasgupta, Director of the BDS program at SP Jain.

Several offers were the outcome of successful Internships in companies in India and abroad, the School informed. Students of the program previously interned at Adaptive Investments (US), the University of Massachusetts at Boston (under the guidance of Professor Dr Lawrence Pohlman), AI Australia and Johnson & Johnson (Sydney),VP Bank (Vietnam),  Instagram, Facebook, ISI, NITIE, Edify Accelerator, IITs in  Kharagpur and Bombay and other top US and European universities.

“I did an internship with The University of Massachusetts and another one with HDFC ERGO. One thing that SP Jain has always focused on, right from the start, is the examination of real-world business problems and solving them, even in class. So, when I started my internship, I found it  easy to understand their workflow model and acclimatise because the kind of businesses problems I was solving at work were on the same lines as the ones I was used to solving in class,” shared Vedant Kabra from the Class of 2022. On completing the BDS program last year, Vedant bagged a job with the Macquarie Group in Sydney, Australia.

BDS is a  three-year multi-city program accredited by the Australian government’s Tertiary Education Quality & Standards Agency (TEQSA). Students can opt to study in Mumbai (Year one) and Sydney (2nd and 3rd year) or opt to complete all three years of the program in Sydney. Upon graduation, students may live and work in Australia by applying for a post study work visa  of up to four years.

The curriculum teaches students the principles and techniques of data science, programming and analytics, machine learning, simulation modelling, data mining, social web analytics, and big data processing techniques and platforms. The program is open to  Grade XII students, chief beneficiaries being those with an aptitude for Math and Science.

It may be noted that international students may continue to live and work in Australia temporarily following the completion of their Bachelor of Data Science degree at SP Jain, on a post-study work visa of up to four years per the current immigration guidelines.
