Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru was founded in 1996 by the Ujwal Trust to provide art and design education in the region. Srishti boasts a strong indigenous cultural grounding in the teaching of the visual arts and also provides a liberal arts curriculum comparable to reputed institutions in the West. It also interfaces with institutions across the world with a vision and commitment to quality education through new technologies and pedagogies. Postgraduate Advanced Diploma Programme Eligibility Applicants are required to hold an undergraduate degree or its equivalent. Applicants who have substantial and significant experiential learning, a portfolio of work and written evidence demonstrating the meeting of graduate qualities may also be considered. Who can apply The program supports students from diverse backgrounds as they progress in their individual contributions to emerging professional practices in the fields of art, design, education and technology. The program is also open to practitioners and researchers to develop or take forward their research enquiries, projects and proposals. Professional Diploma Programmes (PDP) in: The criteria for admissions for a direct entry graduate student are as under: Graduates from other Art & Design schools Graduates in any discipline with an interest in Art & Design The criteria for admissions for course transfer students are as under: Students who have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies in any field and wish to change their line of profession to Art & Design may apply. Students who have completed a 2-year Foundation studies program at another institution. Admissions will be considered on the basis of a credit transfer equivalent to the Srishti Foundation Studies Program. SELECTION PROCESS Selection is based on an interview and portfolio review. The interview process will assess the candidate's aptitude for art and design. The portfolio should include original creative works and/or evidence of work experience in a related field. The direct entry students into PDP will be called in for a portfolio review and interview and the dates will be informed to the student once the forms are submitted.
