SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli (SRMIST Trichy), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dassault Systèmes to advance engineering education, innovation, and research. The partnership will harness the power of Dassault Systèmes’ 3D EXPERIENCE platform to equip students, faculty, and early-stage entrepreneurs with cutting-edge digital competencies and real-world problem-solving abilities.

The collaboration aims to integrate advanced design and engineering tools into academic programmes, helping develop an industry-ready workforce. It will also provide mentorship, incubation support, and research opportunities, enabling student- and faculty-led startups to build innovative products and processes aligned with India’s goals of self-reliance and technological advancement.

“This collaboration opens new avenues for our students and faculty to engage with advanced digital technologies, pursue cutting-edge research, and build impactful startups,” said Dr Shivakumar R., chairman, SRM Group of Institutions, Chennai Ramapuram and Tiruchirappalli. “It marks a significant step in aligning education with the needs of tomorrow’s industries.”

Deepak NG, managing director, India, Dassault Systèmes, added, “Our shared vision is to empower young minds with industry-relevant insights and tools, enabling innovation from the classroom to the marketplace.”

The initiative is set to boost R&D activities within SRMIST Trichy, particularly in the design of local technologies and systems. It aligns closely with national priorities in innovation, skill development, and startup growth.
