Overview

St. Andrews Scots Senior Secondary School, Patparganj, Delhi is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was started by the founder principal Mrs. P L Rana and other committee members with a dream to impart education to help students develop their potential, build confidence and determination, and help them achieve success in all their endeavours. The school is run by the St. Andrews Scots Education Society which was established in 1988.

Campus

The school hosts well ventilated classrooms with modular furniture and is equipped with audio-visual educational aids, well equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, social science and mathematics, two large computer labs, an infirmary and facilities for aerobics, yoga, judo-karate, and meditation.

The sports infrastructure includes facilities for cricket, badminton, table tennis, basket ball, volleyball, chess, and skating. The school also offers a fleet of buses for transportation of its students.

Academics

At the 10+2 level, the syllabus followed is in accordance with the subjects prescribed by the CBSE. Sanskrit is introduced as the third language at the middle school level and taught from class VI to X. In keeping with the demands of global outlook towards education, French has also been introduced in the school. The school also lay emphasis on sports and co-curricular activities.

Admission

The school starts issuing application forms from January 1 (9.00 am to 12 noon) and the last date for submission of application forms is January 22. The list of registered candidates is displayed on January 30 and the first list of selected candidates is displayed on February 15.

The age eligibility for admission to pre primary is 4+ years as on March 31 of the year in which admission is sought.
