Founded in 1965, St. Karen’s High School, SK Puri, Patna is a co-educational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It was established by Donald Patrick Galstaun and his wife Lesley Barbara Galstaun.
The school hosts spacious, well ventilated classrooms, multimedia room with extensive audio- visual library, independent play area for primary kids, a hygienic cafeteria, an outdoor amphitheatre for special programmes, an auditorium with seating capacity of 800, well equipped junior and senior libraries with reading rooms, fully integrated science and computer labs for juniors and seniors and two large playgrounds for outdoor sporting activities. The school also provides transportation facility.
Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, St. Karen’s High School offers education from primary level to class XII. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi is a compulsory language. The other subjects offered include Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science or Environmental Science, Value Education, History, Geography (or Social studies including Civics,) Economics, General Knowledge, Art and Computer Studies, Commerce, Accounts, Business, Maths and Business Studies.

1. Parents seeking admission for their children are required to complete the application form for registration and return it along with the necessary fee and necessary documents, which is not refundable, nor does it constitute any assurance for admission.
2. At the time of admission the following documents are required:
a. Admission form duly completed along with required photographs.
b. Attested photocopy of the original mark sheet of the last examination passed at the previous school.
c. A copy of the child’s birth certificate from the Municipal Corporation
d. A copy of the Baptism Certificate, if the candidate is Christian and a letter from the parish priest. The date of birth cannot be changed once the child is admitted.
e. An affidavit from a first class magistrate or notary confirming the date of birth as stated by the parent. The date of birth cannot be changed once the child is admitted.
f. Medical certificate by a Registered Medical Practitioner (along with his Reg. Number) and specification of blood group of the student should be denoted.
g. SC, ST, OBC – Parents of students belonging to these categories should submit original certificates at the time of admission to prove their bona fides. So that the same can be recorded for future reference if and when required.
3. Transfer certificate, (countersigned by the D.E.O. for out of state students).
