SVKM’s Mukesh R. Patel CBSE School, Shirpur was promoted in 2013 by Shri Amrishbhai Patel, MLC and former education minister of Maharashtra and the president of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) — a public charitable trust registered under the Societies Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act. From its humble beginnings in 1934, when it took over the Rashtriya Shala, a school established in 1921 in the wake of the national movement, SVKM has metamorphosed into an educational conglomerate that imparts quality pre-primary-higher education to over 35,000 students across the country.
Affiliated with CBSE, the class I-XII day-cum-residential SVKM’s Mukesh R. Patel CBSE School aspires to “provide children a nurturing, open and stress-free environment that enables excellence outside of conventional formats.” With an ideal teacher-student ratio of 1:10, young minds are guided by highly qualified, dedicated and experienced teachers selected from amongst the best nationally.
Sited on an expansive 40-acre campus amid sylvan surroundings away from the din and bustle of the city, the school hosts state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to enable holistic development of the students. The school’s contemporary academic infrastructure includes 20 ICT-enabled classrooms, six well-equipped labs for biology, chemistry, physics, math, computer, social studies, e-library, among others.
Impressive facilities for 15 specialised sports and a wide array of co-curricular activities enable well-rounded development of the students.
Affiliated with the Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the school offers education from class I through XII. To ensure holistic student development, special emphasis is placed on individual, social, emotional, intellectual, physical, cultural and spiritual development.
The school follows a blend of several internationally acclaimed teaching-learning approaches and pedagogies including experiential learning, collaborative learning, project based learning, inquiry-based learning, peer teaching, among others.
