Established in 1980, TA Pai Management Institute, popularly known as TAPMI is a prominent B-School located in Manipal, Karnataka. It was founded by Shri T. A. Pai with an aim to achieve excellence in management education, research and practice. It is the second B-School in India to receive the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation after the Indian School of Business. The institute started offering the PGDM programme in 1984 as a two-year fully residential programme under a separate TAPMI trust and it also started a PGDM (Healthcare) programme in 2010. Both programmes have been approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
