Manipal (Karnataka) based T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), one of India’s premier B-schools, hosted the latest edition of its ‘Run For a Cause’ marathon on January 13 at the KMC Greens, Manipal.
Held every year since the past five years, the 4.8 km run is a CSR initiative of Atharva, the annual b-fest of TAPMI, and aims to be a platform to sensitise people and raise money for social causes. It also aims to build a socially-responsible management team for the future.
This year’s marathon aimed at promoting child education. All the proceeds from the marathon will go towards developing educational infrastructure and basic amenities for hygiene and sanitation at the Academy Primary School, Manipal. The winners would also receive certificates, medals, and cash prizes up to INR 20,000.
Presented by LIC and co-powered by New York Chicken, Monster Energy and Urban Edge, the event also featured a Zumba session for all the participants before the commencement of the marathon.
