Overview

The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur is a co-educational day-cum-residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and is a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC). Established on August 4, 1972, Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur and is an autonomous institution. Previously an all boys institution, the school began admitting girls in 1988.

The school motto is ‘Be Vigilant’ and its mission is to inculcate in the students sound moral values – honesty, integrity and good judgment, basic skills – academic, creative, social and personal, strong self-esteem, tolerance and respect for others and passion for continuous learning.

Campus

The 40 acre school campus hosts two spacious playing fields and three academic blocks equipped with the latest technology. The school houses spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards, a well stocked library, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology, auditorium, indoor games room, cafeteria and dining hall and an infirmary.

The school campus also hosts huge playgrounds for sport such as football, basketball, cricket etc.

General Information

Admission

The school publishes an advertisement announcing admissions in leading newspapers in November. Parents seeking admission for their wards to class I must collect the application form on the stated date between 10 am to 4 pm on working days.

Admissions to classes II-X are subject to vacancy and an admission form needs to be filled and submitted in the administrative office.

Admissions to class XI are based on scores achieved in the class X board exams.

Accommodation

The school offers boarding facilities for boys’ only from class VI onwards. The hostel is a double-storied building that accommodates 192 boys.

Boarders are divided into two houses each headed by a house master, who are also mentors and caretakers and ensure each child is well looked after. The hostel also provides academic assistance to all the boarders.
