The Srijan School follows a child-oriented approach to imparting education that looks upon each child as an individual and provides an educational program which stresses the importance of the holistic development of the child – head, heart and hand.
In pre-school a wide range of activities such as drawing, coloring, cutting tearing, pasting, plasticine and clay work, music and singing, dance, story telling, dramatics and puppetry are introduced to facilitate learning through the play-way method.
In junior school (class I to V) focus is on learning through experience, applicable to academics and co-curricular activities. There is exposure to many activities crucial to the development of the child’s spatial and motor skills.
In the middle school (class VI to VIII) the methodology followed is an extension of the one in the primary classes. Children are also encouraged participation in various intra and inter school activities. Third language is introduced and academic teaching incorporates an activity and experimental based program. Evaluation is more comprehensive, detailed and based on a grading system.
The secondary and senior secondary (classes IX to XII) weight age for internal assessment is introduced in nearly all subjects supporting the process of continuous evaluation. Students are provided career guidance and are also introduced towards social awareness and community support programs.
