Courses offered Early childhood music education course The course Music for Little Mozart Classroom from Alfred Music Publishing, USA, is an interactive music foundation course for children aged 3.5 to 5 years. It helps in forming the basic foundation of music. The course takes the students on a musical adventure with the help of stories and various characters helping them hone skills like listening and comprehension, coordination, rhythm sense and motor skills. The duration of the course is 36 lessons for 9 months. Piano course: Beginners/Intermediate group piano course: Components: practical piano playing, theory of music, aural training, and history of music. Age group: 8 – 14 years Duration of course: course consists of beginner level (4 years) and intermediate level (3 years). Group lesson 1 hour once a week. Junior piano course: The course contents are learning all the piano keys, time signatures (2/4,3/4, 4/4), Note values (quarter notes, half notes, wholes notes, quavers), Rest values (quarter rests, half rests, whole rests), singing and aural training, Reading staff notations, different hand positions, simple tunes and ensemble playing and dynamics and articulation. Age group: 6-7years Duration of course: Approx for 1 year, consisting of 4 levels and group lesson for 1 hour per week. Course details: Assessments are held at the end of each September to test your child’s progress, while the classroom recitals give your child early exposure to performance. Advanced classical/Jazz piano course: Components: practical piano playing, theory of music, aural of training and history of music. Age group: Students of any age can enrol Duration of course: Group lesson for 1 hour once a week, solo lesson 45 minutes once a week. Jazz piano: This course can be taken up by those students who wish to expand their musical knowledge in other forms of piano playing as well. Age group: students of any age with adequate knowledge can enrol. Duration of course: all jazz classes are solo for duration of 45 minutes.
