“During a family visit to Japan early this year, one of the most memorable learning experiences was visiting the TeamLab Borderless Museum, where my son Udayan (class XII) explored the fusion of technology and art in a completely immersive environment. Our visits by train to Tokyo suburbs of Shibuya, Shinzuku, Odaiba, Ginza, and Asakusa each with their own character and spirit, was a deep dive into the way a modern city can function keeping its cultural roots intact. The deep spiritual connect the Japanese have with nature, their helping attitude and cleanliness fetish, have deeply inspired Udayan.” Shatika Rawal, homemaker

“This year my daughter Malavikaa (class VIII) took a big leap forward — her first excursion to Japan with her school. It was both exciting and nerve-racking, but I knew it would teach her invaluable lessons. Taking responsibility right from the beginning, she researched Japanese culture, budgeting details, and even learnt the language on Duolingo. Her dedication paid off. She became her group’s unofficial interpreter, confidently ordering food and asking for directions. Being a vegetarian in Japan worried us, but she learnt key phrases to find veg restaurants. Above all, the trip was a journey of self-discovery, proving she can take on the world” Parul Taneja, Business Analytics Head, IDP Education.

“This year badminton has been a beautiful journey of growth for my son Kabir (class IV). He stepped onto the court with a fierce desire to win every match, tasting the sweetness of victory and often the sting of defeat. At first, every loss weighed heavy on his heart, but gradually, he discovered a deeper truth — that the game isn’t just about winning, but about perseverance, resilience, and giving it his best every time. With each rally, he learned to embrace the process, finding joy in the effort rather than just the outcome. This newfound wisdom has made the sport even more fulfilling for him” Komal Arora, teacher, Early Learning Village Gurugram

“The best education I gave my daughter Adriti (KG) this year was of empathy. One cold January evening, we were out shopping and Adriti kept pestering me for that one-more-toy. On the road, I suddenly spotted a bare footed child selling balloons. I decided to buy my daughter a balloon. Later I explained to her how it was by God’s Grace that we are privileged, and some not, and how she must think twice before mindlessly wanting more toys. A few days later, she told me she wanted to have a birthday party with “underprivileged children” and even give them return gifts” Indira Muthumani, Vice President, Bank of America.
