Overview

VIBGYOR High School, Goregaon, Mumbai, the first among the VIBGYOR High chain of 15 schools, was promoted in 2004. Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, and the University of Cambridge Assessment International Examinations (CAIE), UK, the school offers education from class I through class XII.

Campus

The three-acre school campus features 88 classrooms with ICT learning facility, three well-equipped separate science laboratories (physics, chemistry and biology) and three IT labs. The well-stocked school library features an exhaustive collection of 21432 books, 15 journals, 534 CDS, seven daily newspapers, 11 globes, 38 audio cassettes and 97 maps. VIBGYOR also provides medical and canteen facilities.

Sports facilities include a basketball court, swimming pool, sand pit area, gymnasium and skating rink.

Academics

Being affiliated with CISCE and CAIE, the school offers its students a choice of two curricula at the secondary level – the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) curriculum and the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum. Offering education from class I through class XII, the school follows the project method, group learning, intercontinental learning, and experimental learning approaches to imparting learning.

It maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:24.

Extra-curricular activities: To help ensure holistic education for the students, the school conducts various extra and co-curricular activities such as gymnastics, judo, skating, robotics, gym, dance and games such as cricket, swimming, football, hand ball and basketball.

Admission

The age criteria for grade I is five years.
