Overview

Founded in 2001, Visva Vidya Mandir (VVM) Little Millennium at Anna Nagar in Chennai, is part of the growing chain of ‘Little Millenium’ pre-schools started by the best minds in the field of education. It is supported by one of the most prevalent and respected names in the Indian education landscape – Educomp. The preschool was set up to provide children with a sound milieu without any fear, which is needed for a child to develop in their most crucial years of growth.

Campus

Infrastructure at VVM Little Millennium reflects a combination of artistic design and  child friendly atmosphere. The preschool hosts a safe and hygienic environment and colourful ambience. The school houses a play room with toys and books, a yoga room, a separate classroom for painting and a hall for dancing classes. The preschool has centres located in all the major cities in the country.

Academics

The school curriculum includes singing, music, nursery rhymes, dancing and painting. The curriculum at Little Millennium is a blend of several well accepted early childhood pedagogies such as the Play way Method, Project Method and the Montessori Method.

Developing Roots Programme is designed to cater to the play group category of children. The programme comprises activities that include fun filled learning through stories and rhymes based on various themes. The teachers follow the steps of effective lesson plans that help the children to learn in a systematic way.

VVM Little Millennium hosts state-of-the-art technology to make the teaching-learning process more interesting and effective. The school is equipped with Teaching Aid Nomenclature (TAN) – a collection of teaching techniques which helps the kids to learn while having fun at the same time. Such methods help in enhancing a child’s personality and create a sense of keenness in them, to acquire the required knowledge. 

School hours are from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The child should be between 2 to 3 years old for admission to the Developing Roots Programme.

Achievement

VVM Little Millennium won the First Prize in the ‘ The Best Practices followed by a School’ category from The Early Childhood Association at the seminar held on October 6th, 2012.

Little Millennium, Anna Nagar has been ranked among the top pre-schools in Chennai by the EducationWorld India Preschool Rankings 2014.
