The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared the result of Madhyamik class 10th examination on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. A total of 86.34 percent cleared the Madhyamik exam this year, thus recording the highest pass percentage ever while a total of 84 Madhyamik candidates shared the top 10 positions.
This year, boys outperformed girls with a pass percentage of 89.87 per cent. The pass percentage of girls is 83.48 percent. Aritra Pal has topped in the West Bengal Madhyamik examination this year with 694 marks (99.14 per cent) and Sayantan Garai from Bankura district and Abhik Das from East Burdwan secured the second rank with 693 marks. The third rank was secured by three students with 690 marks – Soumya Pathak from Bankura, Debasmita Mahapatra from East Midnapore and Aritra Maity from North 24 Parganas district.
Almost 10.15 lakh students appeared in the exam this year, which concluded on February 27. The West Bengal Madhyamik 10th result is available at: wbbse.org and wbresults.nic.in. The marksheets will be sent to the schools and camp offices; students can collect them from July 22.
Last year, the pass percentage was 86.07 per cent.
