Takhte and UNESCO New Delhi has launched Pan India online essay contest 2020 titled as ‘Year 1 AC (After Coronavirus)’ on April 9, 2020, for children (aged 11 to 14 years) and youth (15 to 24 years). The objective of organising the contest is to provide a platform to the young minds with an engaging opportunity especially during the lockdown period. Secondly, to hear their thoughts and perspective on a challenging situation, which has flared up due to the pandemic, COVID-2019.

Also, the first 100 chosen essays will be published in a Book titled ‘Year 1 AC (After Coronavirus): Essays by 100 Young Indians’, which will be launched by the organisers later in the year. There are 10 essay topics, touching nearly all situations we are facing or will face in the future because of COVID 2019. The participation is for free.
