In a shocking turn of events, a 15-year-old girl tragically lost her life after reportedly falling from the terrace of a private school in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on Friday, escalating further when the girl’s father claimed that his daughter had confided in him about being gang-raped at the school before being pushed off the terrace.
Acting upon the complaint filed by the grieving father, the police have taken immediate action, registering a case against the school principal and two others, including the physical education teacher. The complainant alleges that his daughter informed him that the principal had handed her over to the two men, including the sports teacher, who then subjected her to a horrific gang-rape. Subsequently, they callously threw her off the terrace. It is worth noting that the incident occurred on a holiday, yet the principal had summoned the victim to school at 8:30 AM, as revealed by the father during a media interaction.
Adding to the distressing details, the father explained that around 9:50 AM, the principal contacted him to inform him that his daughter had been taken to the hospital after falling from a swing. However, upon examination, the extensive injuries covering the child’s body contradicted the principal’s account, as reported in the news.
In a significant development, surveillance footage later unveiled that the girl had indeed fallen from the terrace of the school building, refuting the initial claim conveyed by the principal to the father.
Quoting the Ayodhya Deputy Inspector General of Police, news channels reported, “The post-mortem reveals that the injuries are due to a fall from the building. The reports say that the cause of death is shock and hemorrhage as a result of antemortem.”
Responding to the family’s grievance, Ayodhya Superintendent of Police (City) Madhuban Singh, as cited by news agencies, stated, “On Saturday afternoon, on the complaint of the family of the girl student, a case was registered against the school principal, school manager, and a sports teacher for gang-raping the minor girl, murdering her, erasing the evidence, and hatching a criminal conspiracy, and also under the POCSO Act.”
This distressing incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and security measures within educational institutions and highlights the urgency to address such grave issues to ensure the protection and well-being of students. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide solace to the grieving family during this difficult time.
