University Business School was set up as a Department of Commerce and Business Management of Punjab University in 1962. Reinstated in 1995, UBS offers management education with an integrative value system. USB has been recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Special Assistance Programme for the areas like International Comparative Management, Social Responsibility, Human Resource Accounting and Innovative Financing. UBS was ranked No. 41 among Top 50 Business Schools in India by Economic Times. It also ranked 17th in Eduniversal Excellent Business Schools in India Rankings 2012. The institute has a dedicated placement cell driven by the students which ensures 100 placement for every stream.
