Overview

St. Joseph High School, sited at Pashan Road in Pune is an all girls’ English medium day school affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education and aims to “promote the moral, intellectual, cultural, emotional and social development of the students”. It was established by the Society of Congregation of Jesus and Mary in 1961.

Campus

Bright airy classrooms, well stocked library and state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories mark the school’s infrastructure. The school offers internet andmultimedia facilities and the practical aspects are taught by well qualified teachers. The school auditorium is equipped with the latest lighting, sound and stage equipments

The school offers excellent sports facilities including a big field for conducting athletics, field games, march past and PT displays.

Academics

The school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education and prepares students for the SSC examinations conducted at the end of class X.

Extracurricular:

The school places emphasis on sports and other extracurricular activities; to promote co-curricular activities, a house system is in place and inter house and inter school competitions are encouraged. Elocutions, debating and dramatics, music and dance, Olympiads in Science, Maths and English are organised from time to time and children are encouraged to participate in them. Sports such as hockey, basketball, tennis are promoted and the school sports teams participate in district, state and national level tournaments.
