Sited on a 3.5-acre campus in the Mayur Vihar suburb of East Delhi, APS is a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference (estb. 1973) and was recently conferred the British Council’s International School Award (ISA) for 2019-22, the Green School Award and Fit India certification from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
The APS campus hosts three academic blocks housing 62 ICT-enabled classrooms, 11 fully-equipped laboratories (physics, chemistry, biology mathematics, robotics and computer science) including an Atal Tinkering lab and also two libraries (one each for the junior and senior sections) stocked with 25,000 volumes and a 600-seat indoor auditorium and activity rooms for music, dance, drama, home science and yoga.
As testified by their #1 rating under the parameter of sports education among co-ed schools in East Delhi, one-third of the school campus is dedicated to open playing grounds with excellent facilities for basketball, football, table-tennis, badminton, cricket, chess, carom, shot-put and athletics. The consistent and dedicated efforts of the teachers and management of APS have paid rich dividends. In 2019, 90 of the 274 students who wrote the class XII CBSE board exams and 67 of the 199 students who wrote the class X CBSE board exams, scored 90 percent and above aggregate Mark’s.
Unsurprisingly APS graduates are readily accepted into national (IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, etc.) and international( Stanford, Westminster, Cambridge) higher education institutions.
