6th April, Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIMK), has registered 100% placement for its 2 year MBA program with dual specialisation in Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations and Business Analytics for a total of 110 students. 2023 being a landmark year for the institute as it is celebrating 25 years of excellence in Management Education. Commemorated as the Silver Jubilee Year for its flagship program, the business school which was founded under the aegis of the Indian Army continues to achieve 100% placement mark year after a year.
Placements 2023 witnessed a paradigm shift in terms of the multiple offers in hand, highest ever CTC, increased median salary and improved job assignments for the graduating students. 47 students (out of 110) have more than one offer-in-hand, some even have four. The highest CTC stands at INR 15 Lakhs per annum, average median salary being INR 8.00 Lakhs per annum, which is 28% over the previous year. 200+ offers were made by 76 companies during the final recruitment process 2023 to absorb the complete batch of 110 students graduating in July.
The recruitment drive witnessed several elite organisations joining the list of esteemed recruiters, such as Citi India, Adidas, Mondelez International, Reckitt & Benckiser, ITC, Federal Bank, etc. The FMCG and banking sectors were the major recruiters, with 42% students getting placed in these sectors. The highlight of the 2023 recruitment has been the campus visit by retail stores like Croma, H&M, Adidas, etc., with an offer to lead the project management team for their new stores opening across the Tier II cities.
In totality, 40% of the new recruiters were added to the list of recruiters for 2023 and the remaining have been conducting campus processes for the last several years. Thanks to the unique system of grooming students to become Corporate Officers. Imbibed from the military academy where Army Officers are being groomed, a similar training pedagogy and methodology is being used on the campus for training the students to transform into Corporate Officers. 100 hours of dedicated skill development training is imparted to the students to become business leaders, the content and the approach is based on the Army way of training.
