Amity University conducts Summer School Program-2023

Amity University Summer School program is organized by Amity University with an aim to provide school students with the experience of exploring various opportunities through diverse learning techniques, enabling them to discover their interest and talent. A total of 365 students from 166 national schools including DPS R.K. Puram, New Delhi, St. Xavier’s High School Gurugram, The Shriram Millenium School, Noida, Slate School Hyderabad, Stonehill International School, Bengaluru, Welham Girl’s School, Dehradun, amongst many others, and 5 international schools including Lorne Park Secondary School, Canada, St. Joseph High School, Michigan, United World College of Southeast Asia, Singapore, Indian School Al Gubra and  Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, Muscat Oman, participated in the program. Total 202 boys and 163 girls participated in Amity University Summer School Program, out of which 138 students were of class 10, 131 students of class 11 and 75 students of class 12 and 21 students who have passed out of class 12.

Motivating the participants during the Valedictory Ceremony, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, averred, “The Program provides an opportunity to school students to learn about various career prospects as per their interest and hone their skills, benefiting hundreds of students every year. It is heartening to see that all the students have dedicated two weeks of their summer vacation to enhance their learning and knowledge by joining the Program, which will definitely help in shaping their future.”

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Deputy Director, Amity Technical Placement Centre, said, “During the two-week Summer School Program, students were provided great insights and information regarding 26 diverse subjects such as journalism, fashion technology, aerospace, engineering, law, management etc. Apart from this, students also participated in extracurricular activities such as yoga, sports, dance and Zumba, which was helpful in the overall development of their personality.”

Sharing his experiences, Krish, a student of Don Bosco School Shimla, said, “It was a great learning and enriching experience for me to participate in the Program. I have great interest in aerospace and avionic and I want to pursue my career in this field. I received valuable guidance from the teachers regarding these subjects and also made new friends, from whom I learnt a lot, during the Program.”

On this occasion, Mr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Deputy Director, Amity Technical Placement Centre and Dr. Somnath Sen, Head, Amity School of Film and Drama presented certificates to the participating students.
