Amity University Lucknow was formally inaugurated on 18 September, 2004 by honourable chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, chief minister, UP. It commenced on 2004, on 19 July 04. Amity Lucknow is a constituent unit of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, NOIDA. It is generally referred to as Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Lucknow Campus. The Amity University has been established by an act of the state legislature and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It has 15 institutions presently caters 64 programmes and there is more than 5000 students currently it has around 345 faculty and 470 support staff members. LabsStudent securing 80 percent or more aggregate in Class XII (CBSE/ISC/State-Boards of 2016/2017) is exempted from the selection process.
