Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) 2019 has invited applications for the recruitment of Child Development Project Officer & Allied Cadres under Social Welfare Department, Assam. Eligible candidates can apply for the post before 9th September, 2019. A total of 73 posts are vacant while the age limit is 21 to 38 years. Selection will be done on the basis of written exam.
Eligibility Criteria for APSC CDPO 2019:
Graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized university.
In addition, the candidate must have any one of the following qualification:
Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Social Works/ Labour & Social Welfare/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Criminology
Graduate in Child Development/ Home Science/ Nutrition or,
Graduate having Philosophy/ Education with Psychology, Economics.

It should be addressed the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022. The application fee for general candidate is Rs.250/- and for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC is Rs.150/-
The pay scale starts from Rs. 22,000/- up to 87,000/- and the Grade Pay (GP) is Rs. 9,700/- of PB-3 plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

APSC came into existence on 1st April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935. James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, is its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers ICS officers, some retired, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Hezelett.
