Overview

Arunodaya Public School at Thane is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Started in 2002 under the aegis of Swami Shri Budhdevji Maharaj Chari Trust, the school offers education from nursery through class XII and presently boasts 1039 students on its rolls.

The school inculcates moral values as well as prepares students to face the challenges arising due to globalisation and technological developments. Campus

The school campus has smart classrooms, a well stocked library, well equipped science labs, a computer lab, an audio visual room, a guidance and counselling center, a multipurpose hall, a temple, a ramp for physically differently abled children, a big play ground for cricket, hockey and other games and a FIFA turf court for playing football.

Academics

The school follows an integrated curriculum that concentrates on academics as well as qualitative development of children to help them achieve life and character building education.

The Pre-Primary curriculum is an activity oriented programme. It provides ample opportunities for teacher-student interaction to the tiny tots to learn from the environment by exploring, experimenting and experiencing. The focus is on inculcating interest and love for learning good manners and clean habits.

In classes I to V, children learn English, Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit / French (only for Std. V), science (Class III – V), social studies (Std. III – V), mathematics, EVS ( I & II), art, computer literacy and physical education, GK & life skill.

In classes VI to VIII, in addition to all the above mentioned subjects, students learn Scout & Guide. Sanskrit is taught as the third language as per the three language formula in the middle school laid down by the CBSE.

In classes IX and X, the subjects offered include English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, General Science [Physics, Chemistry, Life Science], Social Studies [History, Geography, Civics, Economics and Disaster Management], Computer Literacy, Physical Education and Life Skill.

In classes XI and XII, the subjects offered are English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, P.E., Maths, Computer Science.

The co-scholastic subjects are music, dance, karate, and yoga.
