Balvantray Mehta Vidya Bhawan, Greater Kailash II, Delhi is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was promoted in 1999 by the Servants of the People Society (SOPS), which was founded at Lahore by Lala Lajpat Rai and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1921.
Balvantray Mehta Vidya Bhawan aims to fulfill the vision of the Lala Lajpat Rai through broad based training enabling the children to lead a fuller and more creative life and in times to come, become useful citizens of the country.

The school integrates handicapped children with normal children and helps them develop a sense of self-reliance. Teachers regularly attend seminars, workshops etc. to keep themselves abreast with the latest developments and techniques in the field of education.
For the hearing impaired children, emphasis is laid on speech and language development which enables children to communicate and paves the way for the child’s mainstreaming. CBSE curriculum is offered till the secondary level.
For the mentally subnormal children, emphasis is laid on self help skills. Selected children are sent for academic integration and CBSE curriculum is followed with modification to suit the special needs of the mentally subnormal children. After class V, children are screened and sent either for pre-vocational training or middle school depending on the potential of the child. After class VIII, the children are screened again and selected children pursue secondary and senior secondary level education through open schooling system.
Vocational training is also provided in printing press, handlooms, paper recycling, paper conversion, candle making, envelop making, stitching and home management etc.
The school offers special facilities for guidance and counseling, speech therapy, audio logical assessment, language therapy, occupational therapy, vocational training, dance and music training, art and craft training, weekly intervention clinic, meditation and yoga, Dousa-Hou psycho-rehabilitative therapy and special education.

Admissions start from January third week and the total available seats for preschool admission are 165. The age eligibility for admission to nursery is 3 years as on March 31 of the admission year.
Admission tests for all classes except XI are conducted in the last week of March every year. Students applying for admission must register their names in the first week of March every year.
Class XI admissions start after the announcement of class X board results and are granted on the basis of marks scored in class X exam and an entrance admission test conducted in the school.
