Admission

For admission into undergraduate programs, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) scores are considered. For admission to the ME program (M.E.), the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score is considered. Fees: Tuition fee for B.E., B.Tech, and other UG programs is Rs 7,200 per semester. An amount of Rs 10,200 needs to be paid at the time of admission towards registration fee, caution fee, activities fee and miscellaneous expenses. For PG programs, M.E., M.Tech, MTRP, tuition fee is about Rs 9,000 per semester and the total fee to be paid at the time of admission is Rs 12,000, including registration fees, caution money, activities fee, miscellaneous expenses etc. Hostel fee amounts to Rs 1,900 each semester. Financial assistance is available to all the GATE qualified candidates, and various scholarships are offered by the university and the state government to deserving students.
