BIT Extension Centre, Noida is sited in a posh area joining Noida and Delhi, adjacent to industrial houses like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Kribco, PDIL, GAIL, etc. The BIT Noida centre was founded in 1998 to cater to the urgent need for an institution for diversified and advanced educational research, consultancy and training of human resources in IT and management technology in the Northern Sector. It is ranked among the top 10 animation institutes in India by the EducationWorld C-fore Survey 2103.
The BIT Noida campus hosts a library which is the backbone of the academic infrastructure featuring an exhaustive collection of books, journals, tutorial’s CD’s etc. It subscribes to 20 periodicals and e-journals. The library also provides reprographic facilities like scanning, copying and printing. The institute hosts 3 advanced computer laboratories equipped with 200 computers. The multimedia studio hosts state-of-the-art facilities with high end software for conducting animation courses. The institute laboratories are also equipped with LCD projectors. The institute also houses an auditorium with a seating capacity of about 200 for conducting seminars, conferences, group discussions and various other cultural activities.
