In a remarkable display of talent and perseverance, our student Praharsha G has not only secured two gold medals at the VJ Gymnastics competition on April 2, 2023, but has also earned a spot in the prestigious Open Nationals scheduled from February 16 to February 23, 2023. Adding to her list of accomplishments, she later clinched a well-deserved bronze medal in the SGF competition later this year.
This young gymnast’s journey to success has been nothing short of inspiring. Starting her training at the age of 6, she faced early setbacks due to a lack of proper equipment, forcing her to pause her gymnastics journey for a couple of years. Undeterred, she resumed her training at the age of 10, this time with access to better resources.
However, fate had another challenge in store as the global pandemic struck, forcing a hiatus from training for the entire two-year duration. Despite these obstacles, her unwavering dedication and passion for the sport kept her motivated.
“I built a strong connection with gymnastics, and that connection became my driving force,” Praharsha says. Introduced to gymnastics by her parents as a means to channel her abundant energy, this budding athlete found her true passion and calling in the sport.
Throughout her ups and downs, her coach, Mr. Venkat, has remained a constant pillar of support and inspiration. His guidance and mentorship have played a pivotal role in shaping her into the gymnast she is today.
In pursuit of excellence, she looks up to international gymnast Arun Budda Reddy, drawing inspiration from his achievements and gold medal status. Her aspiration is not only to make her parents and coach proud but also to bring accolades to the country through her outstanding performances on the global gymnastics stage.
As Praharsha continues to break barriers and overcome challenges, we celebrate her achievements and eagerly anticipate the future successes she is bound to achieve. Her story stands as a testament to the power of resilience, passion, and ambition.
