The ICSE council has mentioned three safety instructions in admit cards of students appearing in 2021 ISC examinations as a precaution against Covid-19. The three instructions to students mentioned in the hall tickets are “Maintain safe distance,” Wear your masks properly” and “Wash your hands frequently”.

“The instructions have been given in view of increase in number of Covid-19 cases across the country,” the principal of an ICSE school said.

The CISCE started issuing the admit cards for ISC examines to the respective schools as the ISC practical examinations are slated to start from April 1. The ISC and ICSE theory papers will start on May 4.

The individual schools have been asked to download the admit cards and distribute the printout copies to the students. Students are required to produce the admit cards for entering the examination halls.

The CISCE has already sent detailed instructions to schools on how to conduct the examinations maintaining all the Covid-19 protocols.

The council has also earlier asked schools to spread awareness among students on how to wear masks, wash hands and maintain distance among each other as a precaution against the spread of the disease.

The move to mention the Covid-safety protocols in the admit cards is aimed to remind the students about the norms as they will have to write the test offline sitting on the campuses.

“Most students are already familiarized with the Covid-safety norms. By mentioning the instructions in the admit cards, the council aims to ensure that students are more cautious about how they should conduct themselves in the examinations halls in presence of friends,” the principal said.

This is first time the council has mentioned the safety instructions in the admit cards. In 2020 the examinations were held in February but some of the papers were pending when the board exams were suspended in March, because of the spread of Covid-19.
