Education in Ireland, the national brand representing Irish Higher Education Institutions on a global scale, is set to launch its flagship roadshow in India for the upcoming year. Scheduled from September 30th to October 8th this year, the roadshow will feature 17 Irish Higher Education Institutions engaging with Indian students across five major cities.

This roadshow plays a vital role in EI’s national campaign, #themakingofyou, which aims to offer more than just top-tier education in Ireland; it serves as a catalyst for enriching experiences.

Approximately 6000 Indian students choose Ireland as their preferred place to study each year. Enterprise Ireland manages the Education in Ireland national brand under the authority of the Minister for Education and Skills.

Ireland’s higher education institutes offer over 5000 programs, covering a diverse range that leads to internationally recognized, quality-assured qualifications. International students can benefit from a wide variety of scholarships to help fund their studies.

Ross Curran, India Director for Enterprise Ireland, expressed, “Ireland is an incredible location for personal and professional development, and there exist very strong ties between our two nations. The roadshow will also provide prospective students an opportunity to learn about Ireland’s role as an emerging global center for technology and commerce, hosting the headquarters of over 1,000 multinational companies and startups, offering limitless potential for those looking to advance in their careers.”

The Study in Ireland Education Fairs are scheduled in Delhi on September 30, Pune on October 1, Mumbai on October 4, Chennai on October 7, and Bengaluru on October 8. Students and parents will also benefit from the presence of the Irish Visa Office, who will answer queries about the visa application process and conduct an informative seminar.

Barry O’Driscoll, Regional Manager – India & South Asia at Education in Ireland, expressed his excitement for the upcoming fairs: “The #themakingofyou campaign and the upcoming roadshow align perfectly with our mission to create awareness about Ireland as a hub of limitless opportunities for students seeking top-notch education and career prospects.”

Participating institutions include various Institutes of Technology, Business Schools, and Medical colleges, as well as the Universities of Cork, Limerick, and Dublin, and Trinity College, whose alumni include Ireland’s Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Dr. Leo Varadkar, of Indo-Irish origin.
