EducationWorld collaborates with PwC for school development program

March 22, 2024

EducationWorld (EW, estb. 1999) – India’ #1 education magazine – has signed a strategic agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the world’s leading consulting firms with offices in over 742 locations worldwide, to introduce a unique school maturity and development program. The objective of the EW institutional development program is to enable schools to identify their strengths and weaknesses and provide them a professional institutional development and improvement roadmap.

“A school is the lowest unit of bringing in much needed transformation in the education system — the system can improve only if individual schools progress. Each school is different in its vision and context, and therefore needs to chart its own path — relevant to itself and its stakeholders. This initiative will help schools identify their maturity level across multiple dimensions of academics and overall growth allowing them to build strong institutional development strategies thereby improving outcomes and resulting in more motivated teachers, staff and students. We, at PwC, are happy to support EducationWorld in this important journey to improve the country’s K-12 education system by building capacities at the individual school level,” says Suchindra Kumar, Partner and Sector Leader for Education, PwC India.

Under this first-of-its-kind initiative, EW and PwC will employ a systematic approach to baseline the overall quality of a school by collecting and providing an analysis of various data points including academic performance, infrastructure, teacher qualifications, brand reputation and more. Subsequently, the data will be validated through in-person visits, interviews with stakeholders, and a detailed institutional development and improvement roadmap will be presented for closing the gaps.

“EducationWorld working with PwC Education team marks a significant milestone in our commitment to enhancing educational excellence nationwide. By leveraging PwC’s expertise, EW is poised to empower schools and colleges within our network to bridge academic and non-academic gaps effectively. With EducationWorld’s renowned and comprehensive rankings reputation and PwC’s expert strategies for institution development, we hope to stimulate continuous improvement and drive meaningful change in the educational landscape,” says Bhavin Shah, CEO of EducationWorld.

India’s private education sector is booming. According to UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Report 2022, 7 out of 10 new schools promoted in India during the past eight years are private institutions. Moreover the K-12 education market size in 2022 is estimated at $43.5 billion.
