Shantanu Das is the principal of Sarala Birla Academy, Bengaluru — an all-boys international residential school — since 2009. Previously, he helmed the Assam Rifles Public School, Shillong and the Aditya Birla Public School, Renusagar (Uttar Pradesh). He did his schooling from St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun and holds a master’s degree in physics and diploma in German from the Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan. He also holds a bachelor’s in education from Annamalai University (Tamil Nadu) and a master’s in business administration from Symbiosis University, Pune.
He has been the president of Karnataka ICSE Schools Association (KISA), vice-president of the Indian Association of Adolescent Health – Karnataka Chapter and a member of the CII National Council of Education.
