Haryana: CM Khattar reveals plans for 60000+ government jobs

December 19, 2023

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced on Monday that more than 60,000 government jobs are currently in the pipeline. During the Winter session in the assembly, Khattar emphasized his government’s commitment to transparent and merit-based employment over the past nine years. While discussing the state’s holistic governance approach, which focuses on citizen empowerment through employment opportunities and a robust education framework, Khattar addressed concerns raised by Congress MLA RS Kadian regarding a two-year-old case involving alleged bribery in the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) recruitment process.

Kadian urged Khattar to investigate the matter, citing the involvement of other officials. In response, the chief minister, holding a pocket-sized copy of the Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, pledged immediate action against any officer found involved in corrupt practices related to HPSC recruitment. Khattar asserted that termination would be the consequence for such actions at any level.

Regarding job recruitment, Khattar stated that the BJP-led government has already filled approximately 11,500 Group A and Group B posts and 1,06,000 Group C and Group D posts. Additionally, advertisements for 3,200 Group A and Group B positions and around 61,000 Group C and Group D positions are in progress, bringing the total recruitment to 1,67,000. Khattar refuted opposition claims about the state’s unemployment figures, asserting that such statements lack factual basis.
