On the occasion of India’s 70th Independence Day on August 15, IMS Noida, India’s premier institute for management studies, celebrated ‘Azadi 70’ with great gutso at its campus. The entire campus was adorned with flags and flowers. The event began with flag hoisting by executive director of IMS Noida – Dr. KJS Anand General followed by the national anthem.
There were a series of events which provided a platform for the students to showcase their flair, versatility and sense of innovation. The events ranged from face painting to poster making to creating rangoli and presenting a performance of a self-composed tune by a student; a beautiful patriotic song called – ‘Mera Desh Meri Dhun’.
Congratulated all the students and staff for the success of the event, the executive director said, “The celebration of the new-age-thinking is the true celebration of a new and independent India.”
Students of JKG International, Kothari International and Indirapuram Public school participated in the music contest and enchanted everyone with melodious self-composed songs. The high point of the day was an awe inspiring performance MTV Fame star Kushal Sethi. The programme concluded with the felicitation of faculty members, namely Mayank Sharma (Management), Sandhya Sharma (Journalism & Mass Communication), Rashmi Trivedi (IT) and Govind Goyal (Law) for their participation in the music programmes.
‘Azadi 70’ ended on a high note with a promise to spread awareness, knowledge, values and gain wisdom to make our country a better and safe place by following the values and principles passed on to us by our great leaders.
