Overview

Founded in 1989, Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad (IHM-A) has been modeled along the lines of the leading hotel management institutes of world and functions with the technical expertise of the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. IHM-A stands apart from the plethora of hotel management institutions with its outstanding support systems. The institute offers world class facilities reflecting the latest trends in hotel management. Campus

IHM offers air-conditioned classrooms equipped with projectors, computers and audio-visual aids. The campus houses a training restaurant called Amber,which caters to practical Food and Beverage Service training, while the adjoining Taj Residency is the venue for on-the-job training. The computer lab hosts 120 terminals spread over 4 different LANs. There are separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, which can accommodate nearly 400 students. The Dining Hall serves over 1500 meals a day and is managed by the student catering function. The catering function is in charge of food production, budgeting and service under the expert supervision of F&B professionals. The college hosts 250 seater auditorium with state-of-the-art facilities, a millennium gymnasium and fitness centre accessible to all students. The campus also houses cricket, basket ball, and football fields and courts for tennis, volleyball and badminton. The cafeteria offers students snacks as well as stationary and other items.

General Information

Admission

Admission is granted through an entrance test conducted by the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad on an all India basis. Eligible candidates are required to register themselves for the written examination. Upon receipt of the completed application form, the institute intimates the applicants about the nearest selection test center. The application form can be downloaded from the college website www.ihma.ac.in. A crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Only) in favour of “Institute of Hotel Management”, payable at Aurangabad- Maharashtra should be sent along with the filled in application form.
