Medhaam Preschool was founded on July 5, 2010 by Raghav Sharma. The word Medhaam is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Medha’ or wisdom which means knowledge of what is right, together with fair judgment, discernment and insight.
Medhaam has been envisioned and conceptualized by the PNR Group, a well known name in the Indian financial sector.
The preschool believes in working towards a warm and friendly environment to make it a home away from home for its students and maintaining high standards for student learning and behavior. It maintains a teacher student ratio of 1:8 to enable individual attention to each child.
The preschool building is well ventilated, conforms to earthquake resistant structural norms and is equipped with CCTV surveillance.
The preschool hosts specialized activity zones such as block and construction zone, creative zone, music, dance and story zone, home and imagination zone and a soft play zone along with a fitness gym for children created for problem-solving, gross-motor skills development and exploratory play. The preschool also houses a tab lab where tablet usage is encouraged; the tablet applications comprise curriculum linked applications and educational videos to accelerate learning.
The outdoor play equipment includes slides, climbers, tree house, balance beams, swings, sandpit, bike track and a splash pool.
The preschool offers healthy meals cooked under advice of a qualified in house nutritionist. Besides this, there is a medical room and the preschool gates are equipped with 24×7 security and swipe card entry.
Medhaam Preschool hosts facilities for garbage segregation, rainwater harvesting and ample green space and children are encouraged to engage in gardening.
The Medhaam Preschool curriculum comprises learning modules that include literacy, numeracy and values which form the basis for future learning in children. Topics are introduced using songs, poems and tales that interest children.
The preschool also has math wizard and language wizard programs; through the math wizard program children are encouraged to discover patterns and relationships among numbers or procedures, while through the language wizard program, language is taught as a skill that bridges the child’s understanding of thoughts and ideas and those of people around.
The preschool offers an online interface for parents to access latest updates about their children.
