In a harrowing incident on Wednesday morning, a 26-year-old schoolteacher narrowly escaped a potentially life-threatening situation when he was shot at by two teenagers, allegedly embroiled in a personal dispute. The unsettling event unfolded around 9 am near Sakipur village, a mere 100 meters away from the school, following a conversation between the teacher and the two boys on the road.
The targeted teacher, Rakib Hussain, residing in the Surajpur area, was en route to Sushil Modern School when the assailants, around 17 years old, engaged him in conversation and subsequently opened fire. Miraculously, the bullet managed to graze past the teacher’s earlobe, sparing him from more severe injuries. Promptly, he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The police spokesperson shed light on the incident, stating, “Rakib Hussain… was on his way to Sushil Modern School today when the two boys… came to talk to him and later opened fire at him.” The bullet struck near his right ear, leading to his hospitalization. Fortunately, the injured teacher’s condition is reported as normal, and he is considered to be out of immediate danger.
Law enforcement is diligently investigating the case from all perspectives, including possible links to a preceding dispute between the involved parties. A thorough search has been launched to locate the two teenagers responsible for the attack. Additionally, to maintain law and order in the area, an augmented police force has been deployed.
