NTPC School of Business (NSB) is conducting a workshop on ‘Concepts of Project Finance’ for the Government of Bhutan. The five-day workshop aims to equip participants from both non-finance and finance backgrounds, in making better business decisions and develop the skills to interpret financial analysis for appraisal of opportunities, quantify risks, compare business models and different types of financing instruments and approaches for structuring a project.
“Given the large scope of bankable projects and ongoing energy transition in the region, strengthening capacities of key decision-makers and sound knowledge of project financing concepts would help better evaluation and development of sustainable projects in the region.”, said Dr Brijesh Bhatt, Assistant Professor, NSB The workshop saw the attendance of more than fifty officials across five different organizations in the Bhutanese energy sector. The workshop is being conducted in collaboration with Deloitte India and organized by the South Asian Regional Energy Group (SAREH). It has been funded by USAID.
